HealthierUS Veterans is about Getting Fit for Life.  This joint project between the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) and the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) aims to educate veterans and their families about the health risks of being overweight/obese and physical inactivity.  The key message is "Eat Healthy. Be Active. Get Fit for Life ".  Being fit for life is about making changes and making healthy lifestyle choices.  Taking small steps to change eating and physical activity habits can lower your risk of developing diabetes and heart disease, and can help you to achieve and maintain a healthy weight.

HealthierUS Veterans has compiled a comprehensive listing of websites and information about diabetes, heart disease, overweight and obesity and other health resources for you to use as you Get Fit for Life.
